Why I am called DelaJoy?

Her name was bitterness. She did not even know it. She would have never known this. It took the Holy Spirit to ask her through her pastor the meaning of her name. She thought it was useless to search for it. She is a new creation in Christ. Her mind changed when the veil was removed from her eyes .....What is your name?

Today, I want to share with you about names. You see you must understand that the name that you have has an impact on you. You need revelation to understand it and to break all the spiritual evil bondages associated to your name in Jesus Christ.

When a mother delivers a child, she already knows the name she would give to her baby. She had thought about it, had even arguments over it with her spouse. They had to pray if Christians. They had to agree.

Some parents give names to their child according to the circumstances in which their children came. The Bible shows us that well with the story of Leah. The first child of Leah was Reuben( Genesis 29:32). She said he will be named Ruben because she believed that the Lord saw how afflicted she was.

We see that before Judah her son came, she kept naming her child according to what she was giving you. A lot of parents still does this. We count those who prayed earnestly for revelation and named their children. But the Word tells us that Jesus was not named according to the circumstances but the purpose of his life. Emmanuel, Jesus the Savior of the world. Mary knew the purpose of her child before he was even conceived she had the revelation of his name.

Your name defines you unless you learnt to know your purpose and break those bondages over your names. Jesus changed the names of people in the Bible, I believed strongly that He did that because He knew that for them to be well used by Him some names had to be changed.

Now do not mistaken me. I am not saying here to change your name. I am just showing you how names have impact on our lives.Jacob names meant liar, the one who deceived. He understood that he could not anymore live under this name. His identity had to be changed. He was so serious that he wrestled against God for this!!! How serious are you about your identity? How serious are you about your purpose in life? Do not let a name destroy your life.

I had to changed my name. Nowadays, I am called DelaJoy. Why? Because I understood how my name had a great impact on my life. For some times as I came back to my country, I was depressed, always worried. I am at a point in my life when people expect a lot from me. I was very very depressed. One day, I googled my name Larissa and I discovered that most of the qualities and bad traits of this name I had them.

I first then broke the bondages of my name and then I prayed to God. I wanted God to heal me and save me from depression. How can I be saved and be depressed!!! I refused this. As I prayed, God showed me the face of my spiritual father, mentor in the faith. He is called DelaJoie. He called himself like that because he said that from now on he decided to not let problems overwhelm hil but to walk in joy. So, as I prayed God gave me the key and it was linked to his name.

So, one day I just went on and start telling people that I am called DelaJoy. He was surprised. I knew that my healing and deliverance was linked to that. Although he is my mentor and father, there is more in this name and I knew it. Since that day,  I see constantly changes in my life. When sadness wants to take over it, I dont know it does not last for a minute Joy takes over.

What does your name means? What is your identity? What is your purpose? Refuse the bad traits of your names to overtake your destiny. Get the revelation from the Lord and walk in joy in Jesus Name!!

With much love,

DelaJoy

Ladies, do not compromise

Hello, LWM! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I did by the Grace of God. Today, I would like to encourage us to stay firm in our faith. I had a chat with a friend of mine over the weekend and we were discussing about who we must marry. It was going nowhere because the person believed that she could still date an unbeliever and still be in the Will of God. I did give her the scriptures which clearly showed that God would not allow such a relationship but it was a waste of time. I am believing God that He will convince her to accept this truth. Ladies, I would like to encourage us to stay firm and not compromise our faith in Christ. We cannot play with our life this way. Marriage is a lifetime commitment, so we better be careful when it comes to choose our partner for life. I was saying to the person that I understood her view but I did not support it. I understood the fact that she said " what if I fell in love with an unbeliever?, Am I sinning?". I have been there. I ...

Appearance: I do not love myself!

Have you ever looked yourself in the mirror and appreciate the person you see? Have you ever thought you were not beautiful enough, nor pretty enough? Do you love yourself? Do you love your body? The way you move? If not, then continue to read may the Spirit open your eyes to let you see the beautiful person you are in Jesus Name! Hello precious! Today, I am going to share with you about self-love. How sad it is to see many women comparing themselves to other women! It breaks my heart every time I hear a lady saying 'I just want to be like her', or 'If only I was her'. Have you ever thought this way?  I think we all have...but the good news is you can decide to choose this way of thinking. You are unique. No one on earth can smile like you, can talk like you, can act like you, you are a very peculiar person, and God has no more stock of you in heaven, this should make you think twice.  When I was a teenager, I used to compare myself to my little sister...
