My value of friendship
As a christian lady, I believe that friendship is a gift that comes from God. When we look at the book of Genesis, we will see that God said that it was not good for a man to be alone. Men are not meant to live alone, or isolated because we need people to talk to, we need to relate to someone. Friendship is so important to me. My close friends are people who share the same values as me, they are people who love God and love me. They are people I can count on when I am going through tough times and who will give me good advices. I believe that my friends are people God sent to my life. This is why I value them so much, and I thank God every day for their presence in my life.
I do not know who I will be without my friends, I do
not know where I will be without them. Do not neglect the friends God sent to
your life. Another thing is do not be the type of friend who want to be on top
and enjoy seeing their friends struggling in life, you will not be a good
friend for them. A good friend will encourage his/friend to work harder and to
believe in himself/herself. My bishop Dag Heward Mills wrote "it is
important not to go to the top alone. When you are the only one at the top, you
are surrounded by desperate people. They are dangerous and can harm you at any
time. They will try to pull you down to their level of frustration. However, if
you are all at the top, they can only pull you sideways".
Do not put your
friends in a situation when they become jealous of you or envy you because you
success in every thing you do, be that friend who encourage them, if you know
something they do not, teach them. Do not feel proud! My friends are so
important to me, and I do my best to always be there for them, and to encourage
them when they have lost hope, and they do the same for me. If you do not have
such friends, then I do not know if you know what friendship is or if you are a
good friend yourself........Friendship is a gift from God and we should learn
to be thankful for the friends we have in our lives. Stay blessed, ladies.
Much love. Lala.
